Biography

 

Jessica Probst has worked as a freelance pianist and piano teacher for many years and played public concerts in several countries. She specialized in lied recitals, performing with regular duos such as with Sebastian Lipp/ tenor.

In November 2004 she moved to Shanghai and performed concerts in China, especially chamber music (with flutist Wang Qi) and Lied recitals. In Shanghai, Jessica prepared mostly foreign students for ABRSM-exams. Moreover, she started her preparation program for chinese pianists who intend to study music in germany. In 2009, she moved back to Berlin where she works as a freelance pianist and teacher now.

Jessica Probst was born in Berlin, Germany.


From 1991-95 she studied piano pedagogy with Prof. Klaus Bäßler at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin.


After her diploma she took piano lessons with Christine Paraschos in Paris and attended master classes with György Sebök, Hans Leygraf and others.

From 1998-2001 she studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar and got the artistic diploma in chamber music, Lied accompaniment and piano solo.
